Available replacement parts
We have carry replacement parts for the current products (nose pads, nose bridge, lenses etc.). Kindly contact your retailer who will be pleased to place the order for you.
Delivery times
Most of our products are always on stock and normally will reach the specialist dealer within 1-2 days. We trust in your understanding should an item be sold out and thus there might be delays in the delivery. Swiss Eye will update the specialist dealer about the order status.
Changing the lenses?
Blizzard:
Hold the sports glasses in the right hand in such a way that the front of the lenses is facing you. Using the left hand you can now slowly pull the lens from the outside towards the middle. Now you can remove the lens from the frame using an outward movement. Inserting the lenses is done in reverse order.
Constance:
Hold the Constance horizontally. Push the lens lightly from the inside to the outside out of the frame. It is recommended to effect pressure in the middle of the lens. Kindly insert the replacement lens with light pressure into the frame from the inside for each side.
F-16:
Hold the F-16 vertically. Hold the frame with the left hand and the lens with the right hand. As replacing the lens is always somewhat difficult first time round, you can loosen the frame in the middle a bit using your fingernail. You can now pull out the lens towards the right using light pressure. Replace first the right side then the left side into the frame. Now click the middle part of the lens in the frame.
Gardosa, Gardosa Evolution and Gardosa Evolution S:
Hold the Gardosa in the left hand at the nose area so that the inside of the sports glasses is facing you. Now pull off the lens near the nose area using light pressure. You can now remove the lens from the rear attachment. Kindly repeat this process also on the other side. Insert the lens first at the outer edge and then push it in towards the front.
Hunter / Skyhawk:
Hold the sports glasses upright and place your left hand at the middle part. Using the right hand you can now push the lens from the middle out of the frame (push slightly upwards). All that remains is to remove the lenses from the top anchorage. Inserting the lenses is done in reverse order.
Profi:
Hold the sports glasses for children and persons with narrow faces with the left hand at the middle part and, using your right hand, push the lens outwards out of the frame. Inserting the lenses is done in reverse order.
Raven:
Hold the sports glasses upright and get a good grip of the middle part with your left hand. Using the right hand you can now press the lens from the middle out of the frame (press slightly upwards). Now push the lens near the earpiece from the inside to the outside out of the frame. When inserting the lens push it first at the earpiece in the frame and click then the disc in the nose area in the frame.
Stingray V:
Remove the clip adapter and hold the sports glasses horizontally. Pull the lens on the right side downwards and simultaneously push the right part of the frame upwards. With a "click" this side detaches from the frame. Kindly repeat this process also on the left side. It can be rather hard to remove the lens first time round. However, frame and lens are very robust and flexible. You can now remove the lens across the nose bridge.
Switch:
Hold the sports glasses with one hand between thumb and index finger at the nose area. Grip the lower lens edge next to your fingers with the other hand and loosen the lens near the nose area from its attachment. Repeat this procedure also on the other side. Insert the lens by inserting it first at the outer edge into the support, afterwards press the indentation at the top of the replacement lens in the frame and finally level with the nose area.
Vision/ View
Here there are two possibilities:
1) Change individual lenses: Hold the sports glasses horizontally. You can pull the individual lenses downwards. The lenses have to be inserted in the middle part and engage with a "click" upwards.
2) Removing the middle part: Fold the middle part upwards. Put your thumb under the middle part and pull lightly upwards. The middle part can be removed easily, therefore please do not apply unnecessary force! The middle part has to be clipped again to the frame at the front. (see figure)
Vista:
Hold the sports glasses with one hand at the earpiece. Place middle and index finger of the other hand from the inside at the centre at the upper edge of the sports glasses. Then using your thumb press from the outside onto the lower support of the lens and loosen the lens. Insert the lens first at the top part of the support and then push into the frame at the bottom.
Zero:
Grip the sports glasses with both hands from the front after having turned it upside down. While doing this keep your thumb in the centre of the nose area. Exert light pressure with the thumb from below until the lenses loosen automatically starting from the middle. When inserting replacement lenses please start by latching from outside and, using light pressure with your thumb from below, engage the lenses inside.
Subdivision into individual categories
Glasses are divided into five different grades of transmission (grades of light transmission).
This division is not related to UV-protection. All our glasses - even the clear ones - offer
100% UVA, UVB and UVC protection up to 400nm (nanometre).
Category 0:
For night use (clear lenses)
Category 1 and 2:
For light and medium solar radiation (orange, yellow)
Category 3:
For strong solar radiation (smoke, brown)
Category 4:
Is used in case of very strong solar radiation (e.g. on a glacier)
and thus is not suitable for driving.
| Category: | Grade of transmission: | Description: |
|---|---|---|
| 4 | 3-8% | very dark tinting (glacier glasses) |
| 3 | 8-18% | dark tinting |
| 2 | 18-43% | moderate tinting |
| 1 | 43-80% | light tinting |
| 0 | 80-100% | clear or very light tinting |
